This depends on the style of the wig. A few factors contribute to weight of a braid wig, there are; Density, Length, Lace material and Thickness of braids

Style: Braided wigs styles like micro needle twists and micro braids are our lightest braid wigs, because they are super tiny “needle” hence requires less extensions compared to wigs with more thickness to it such as box braids.

Length: As a general rule of thumb, the longer the unit the more weight it has to it. Although, length does not have much effect on some wigs such as our micro twists range, some cornrow and full lace knotless wigs.

Lace material: Lace front and closure wigs tend to have more weight to it than full lace wigs because the lace occupies a specific area on the cap and a breathable mesh cap is used to complete the wig. Braids are arranged strategically on the mesh cap in way that it doesn’t reveal the mesh cap when worn on the head. Whereas, full lace wigs are lace all through thus braids are arranged at equal densities throughout the wig.

Braid thickness: The chunkier the size of each braid on a wig, the more extension it consumes which in turn increases the weight.
